"Kolcu Private Villa: Courtyard Architecture"

Situated in the dynamic architectural landscape of Istanbul, Türkiye, the Kolcu Private Villa masterfully reinterprets the traditional courtyard house through a bold, contemporary language. Developed by Gesign Studio between 2025 and 2026, this 450 m² residence serves as a profound exploration of inward-looking spatial organization.

Strategic Spatial Composition

By anchoring the entire home around a central inner courtyard, the design creates a secluded urban oasis that draws natural daylight deep into the living areas while preserving privacy from the outside world.

Environmental Performance & Materiality

The residence is enveloped in a striking exposed concrete shell, intelligently engineered for performance:
